It was for sale, but you can’t wind a clock with- out a key, However, a good friend of mine went on my note for the amount required and 1 bought the place. Did I work? I'll say I did It was work or starve, Say folks T put in some hard licks in that pla I do not wish to be egotis- tical, but customers I made in those days are still my customers. They got a square deal from me and I aim still giving them and thousands of others the same treatment now. In a short time I had my debts paid and a little change in the bank As I came to Casper to stay and grow up with the city I concluded to branch out. I bought the business at 130 Midwest avenue. I jut every dollar I had in the business and ran in debt again, Bus- iness was good and I soon paid all I owed and had a surplus. 2 I plunged again, moved into a one story building at 114 West Second street and again invested all [ had and got in debt plenty, In this location I actually 1 a business close to a quarter of a million dollars during the year 1923. Last March I bought this property, tore the old building down and erected my new store. sn't it? It’s the truth however and I may have to tear down my present Juilding, you never can tell Sounds like a fairy tale, from what I think of Caspe store and build a ten story Casper is the greatest city on earth, I am here to live and die.
