Daily -Ceibune STOCK DEMAND STILL STRONG Higher Prices In Order With Opening of Trading Today NEW YORK, June 21.—Stock prices again sought bigher ground at the opening of today’s stock market, but continued to encounter opposi- tion in the way of profit-taking and short selling, giving the general list an irregular appearance. Ralls were again in good demand, Erie second preferred moving up fractionally to a new 1924 high and several others showing moderate improvement. United States Alcohol advanced point and Woolworth six per cent preferred ordinarily inactive, broke 2%. Rails and public utilities continued to occupy the bulk of speculative at- tention, additional new 1 highs being recorded by Erle common, Southern railway, Western Pacific preferred, United Railways Invest: ment common and preferred. Brook- lyn Union Gas, Montana Power, In- ternational Nickel and Schulte Stores, the net gains ranging ‘from fractions to nearly three points. Wells Fargo Express advanced 2% points and General Electric, National Lead, Savage Arms and Park and Tilford were among the dozen or so Stocks to move up a point. ie SN) a adh FOREIGN SALES BEAR WHEAT Prices Turn Downward In Early Trading On Chicago Exchange CHICAGO, June 21.—Assertions that foreigners were reselling tend- ed to turn wheat prices downward today after a little advance which BARNEY GOOGLE AND SPARK PLUG Nouve Got “40.42 IN THE BANK + WEN TM GOANA GIVE You A CHANCE To CLEAN LP Ten BUCKS ~ TM Seuuny You THIS THEATRE ThekeT FoR*2.20 Dosy WHAT CT Cosy ME - ITs FOR THE OPENING NIGHT AND You @an EASILY PEDDLE IT FoR #iaac TX wWouwNnt strer ‘You WRONG, BARNEY - Mess ates Do You WANT Te GUY THIS “ickEeT FOR THE OPENING NIGHT = BiQ.ap 2 SELL Six oF em, | ON SELE - BEAT IT) oR Tia sprains heater, $2.50. Favorable re: perts about conditions for a harvest fn the southwest had more or less bearish influence and so too did re- ports on the outlook for spring wheat northwest.
