¥ ' MONDAY, JUNE 2, 1924, ‘Marie R. Whittington and| Mary Orville E. Scown were quietly mar- ried Sunday evening at 6 o'clock at the ‘home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Whittington, 900 Pear street. The Rev. Charles A. ‘Wilson, pastor of the First Presby- terfan church officiated. The bride ‘was becomingly dressed in a blue georgette gown ‘and carried a. bou- quet of pink roses and sweet peas. Miss Leah Whittington, bridesma: was becomingly dressed in an tractive gown of orchid and car- ried a corsage pf sweet peas. Cor- nelilus O'Neil acted as best ‘man. The couple are well known in Cas- per and have & host of friends who wish them success and happiness. ‘The bride has been a member of the office force of the Chamberlain Furniture company while the groom is connected with the Wyoming Grocery company. The couple left this morning for Thermopolis where Scown is temporarily stationed. They expect to return to Casper m and to make their home fn this ‘city. see Humiston-Dodds Marriage Is Announced Today. Announcement was made today of the marriage of Miss Fern D, Hu- miston, attractive daughter pf Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Humiston, /of 735 Pine street, Boulder, Colo., to Rob- ert E. Dodds of this city which took place Saturday in Cheyenne the Rt. Rev. T. A. McGovern performing the ceremony. The bride is among the popular girls of Boulder and ‘was graduated last week from Mt. St. Gertrude’s academy of that city. ‘The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dodds of 326 North Wolcott street and is engaged here in the garage business. As members of the graduating class of the Colorado State Teachers college at Greeley, Colo., the Misses Ruth and Margaret McRae, daugh- ters of Mrs. Kenneth McRae of this city indirectly brought honors’ to this community and at the same time by being members of the school assisted in establishing a rec- ord at the college for the largest class to graduate in the history of the institution. Inciuded in the class which receiveG its degrees and dip- lomas on June 4, Were 230 mem- bers the number exceeding the large classes graduating at the close of Summgr school. Tie largeat class to graduate within the last few years. was the summer school class of 1923 with a total of 223. The Casper girls were graduated from the Natrona county high school and during their college days at Greeley took prominent parts in all college activities. They were awarded the life certificates.
