Mrs McLean Is Honored At Party Tuesday One of the most successful affairs of the “ Business Girls’ club was held last evening at the home of its president, Miss Lillie Roberts. A surprise shower for Mrs. Gladys d McLean, a recent bride, was the feature of the evening. . Mrs. Mc- Lean was persuaded to come to the Robert’s home for a few moments only to be greeted by a wedding march, ‘Mama Goes Where Papa Goes.’ Ihe procession which march- ed to the music was Iudicrous. Mrs, Emma Kitchen as minister followed by Miss Jean Lown as groom and Betty Gartner as groomsman led the procession. The ring bearer, Miss Lille Roberts and bridesmaid, Miss Ruth Meacham proceeded the bride, Dora Niehaus leaning. on the arm of her father, Zelma McPherson. ‘The groom was dressed in brown and the attendant in full dress. The bride wore rose organdy draped with a long lace veil caught up with large red cherries. Miss Elénor Husky, in lue organdy was the train bearer, Other club members were relatives of the bride, The brides vouquet was caught by Ruth Meacham. After the ceremony a basket con- taining many useful and pretty arti- cles was presented to Mrs. McLean. The remainder of the evening was spent making and illustrating travel books for Miss Dora Niehaus, of the Veterans Bureau, who leaves next week for a months vacation. Her trip promises to be very interesting both by the books and by the palmist who was present .
