FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 1924, LOCAL CLEANUP COMMENDED BY CONVENTION Baptists Praise Work Here of County and City Officials. The Central Baptist association closed a two-day convention here last night. Before ending its ses- sion the association endorsed the work of the county and city officials in the following resolution: “Bo it resolved by the Central Baptiet association that we heartily commend the county and city offi. cials for the courageous manner in which they are conducting their various offices in cleaning up Cas- per and Natrona county and we as / sure them our hearty suppdrt in their effective campaign for law and order of the city and qounty.” New officers were elected, the Rev. A. C. Hodgson of Riverton was selected for moderator while Wade Fowler of Douglas was élected to the position of vice modetator. Oth- er officers aru Mrs. C. M. Sum- mers, clerk and Mrs, 8. W. Adgit, treasurer, Both are of Casper. The session was the second an- nual convention of the association which was organized last year. The annual sermon was de- lvered Wednesday evening by the Rey. T. M. Grogg of Douglas. On ‘Thursday morning the organization ‘was completed and on ‘Thursday afternoon a meeting was held un- der the direction of Jog P. Jacobs of Casper, and the Rev. W. F. Rip- ley of Denver.
