South Carolina house of representa tives has withdrawn its invitation to address it extended to Senator Reed of Missouri, candidate for the Democratic nomination for presi- dent. The house action, taken last night after a vehement discussion opposition, does not affect invita- tions extended to Senator Under- wood of Alabama and William G. McAdoo, other candidates for the nomination.
