The story of “The Common Law” is so well known that {t is hardly necessary to more than briefly sketch it. It has to do with the life of an innocent young girl, thrown quite by chance into the society of artists, sculptors, and the Bohemian atmosphere which surrounds this class of people. Love finally comes tito her life and when she is ready to give it expres- sion, she finds that it is not re- turned. Her conflictiug emotions, her radical actions, and her final conclusion as she gives mto each other's arms a man and a woman who love each other that she “is Just_a foolish old woman after all” are not the least part of the photo- GENUINE LFE URL I GHPLIN PICTURE Charles Chaplin's first dramatic Production, “A Woman of Paris,” with Edna Purviance, playing at the America theater for the last times today, is one of the real treats which are so often sought, but so rarely seen, in pictures, This ‘poignant drama of life car- ries one through a phase of Parisian it following ,the career of Marie Clair as though one had known this interesting character oneself, Alice Delysia, French actress, now appearing on Broadway, wore @ gown of diamonds and pearls worth $2,000,000 at one performance.
