A previous suit against Taylor and Clay for the payment on 50.000 shares of stock by Mr. Taylor had been Jost by the company on the grounds that Taylor had not Clay's consent to sign the contract. This suit which was the outgrowth of the first one was against Mr. Taylor per- sonally for damages. Much the same line of reasoning was used in dismis- sing it, since Judge C. O. Brown who presided as magistrate held that the Consolidated Royalty company should have known that Taylor had no right to sign for both partners to the company. j Court Review Is Granted Rail Men WASHINGTON, Jan. 14.—A su Preme court review was granted in the case of Sam Michaelson and other striking employes of the Chi- cago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha railway company, charged with violating a restraining order issued by a federal court and pro- hibiting them from iterfering with other railroad employes during the strike of the shop craft unions in 1922. Michaaelson and his associates contended that they were entitled to trial by jury, but the federal dis- trict court for western Wisconsin took the view that they were not.
