Weare trusting that in conducting the business of the people. for the ensuing two years that the new administration need not be cautioned concerning the growing menace of increas- ing taxation; but the city may so regulate its fiscal affairs, with due respect to economy, that good work may be accom- panied in its expenditures and at the same time the people be relieved of unnecessary tax burdens.
