NEW YORK, Dec. 22.—Ad Stone, the fighting marine of Philadelphia, outslugged and outpointed Billy Shade of California in the 12 round final at Madison Square Garden last night and was awarded the de- cision. In the fourth round a series of rights and lefts to the body caused Shade’s knees to sag, but he clutched his opponent and kept himself upright until he had recovered, . This same experience came to Shade in the fifth, seventh. eighth, eleventh and twelfth roun On each occasion a knockout appeared a matter of one solid punch but Stone could not seem to connect.
