It is at Paramount’s Long Island studio where a bit of the Sixth Avenue elevated was con- structed for movie purposes, The street scene which shows one entire block of Washington Place west of Stxth Avenue, was constructed for Elsie Ferguson's latest Paramount picture “Outcast,"which will be the feature at the Rialto theater tomor- row. It is the largest that has ever been built at the Long Island studio, being 150 feet long and taking a camera shot of 250 feet. In the dis- tance beyond the elevated can be seen Washington Square. Because of the importance of the action which takes place on this street, it was necessary to build it in the studio rather than take the com- pany to the street itself, which could have been done. In this way expert lighting was obtained and on the en the street is as realistic as hington Place itself. ——$<$<_.___.
