PAGE TWO. wpe Casper Dally Crivune A. ¢ Be ; Ad gotton the age old motto, ‘‘Live and Let Live.” selves, and in so doing cause untold suffering. The drive of The Tribune against these lawbreakers is not mere- ly a thought of the moment. It is to be a lasting thought, one that will mean a change upon the streets of Casper; one that will mean fewer ambulances and unnecessary funerals. Weare told repeatedly that this is the age of speed, but are we to construe that this is the age of totally unnecessary and unreasonable speed? No. It lies in the hands of the right living and right thinking citizens of this community to discount any such theory. We have a police department, That department works night and day for the cause of safety. The city has inaugurated traf- fic rules to govern and provide for the safety of pedestrian and motorist alike. A wonderful work is going on all-of the time. But still we have avoidable accidents, and still the clanging am- bulance passe to and fro between the hospital and some busy corner of town. It is time that the people took a hand in the game, so to speak, and Speeding Kiulis! Drive Right!— Walk Right! Nothing can atone for unnecessary loss of human life. Unnecessary injury is almost as bad and sometimes is worse, as it means a crippled body forever. To curb unneces- sary loss of life and injury the speeder and the heedless pedestrian must be made to think. They are not criminalsatheart. They are merely careless. They have for- They are prone to think only of them- as near as possible wipe out the carelessness. Men of influ- ence in Casper feel certain that this campaign will be lasting in its effect, and that people will, as a result of it, do a little more right thinking and indulge in a little unselfishness, in the inter- est of the safety of their fellow men. The men whose names appear below signed this advertisement and paid all expenses connected with it in the pure unselfish in- terest of safety. Too much credit can never be given them. All they ask is that the motorists of Casper obey the speed laws and keep their cars under control at all times. They also direct their efforts toward the pedestrian and ask that he look right and left before crossing any public thoroughfare, and that he avoid all unnecessary risks. "these men, the “right thinkers” of Casper ask this little consideration for the sake of humanity. Will you do it? Benedict Motor Co. Kennedy Motor Co. Casper Buick Co. Auto Electrical Co.
