PAGE TEN. HELD NECESSARY BY THE FARMER Wheat Growers of the Northwest Adjourn Conference SPOKANE, Wash., Aug. 15—Wheat farmers of four northwestern states, Washinst Oregon, Idaho and Montana haye returned to their homes convinced that the solution of the wheat crisis depends upon the aid of the national government. A telegram sent by John Quincy Adams president of the farmers union of Washington and Northern Idaho, at; the close of the convention here asked President Coolidge to convene congress in special session to adopt relief measures. After an all day session yesterday, ‘when farmers and legislators discussed the situation, resolutions were adopt- ed proposing the establishment of a $500,000,000 federal corporation to deal in wheat and to control all wheat dealers in the United States. A basto price of $1.75 on wheat testing 58 pounds a bushel was de- clared to be necessary if farmers were to have a “square deal” the resolu- tions state. Wheat growers through- out the United States have been asked to cooperate “in furthering this united effort by selling no wheat nor Offering none for future delivery” until some definite measure of relief has been effected. Another mass meeting of the wheat growers and leaders of the four states will be held at Moscow, Idaho next Saturday. The Gooding bill, which provides that the government fix the price of wheat by buying at $1.75 for a period of three years, will be considered. The main object of the gathering, however, is to further unify sentiment and centralize effort around any plan which seems most feasible. —E—— SS REPAIRS BEING RUSHED 10 HIGH SCHOOL; BIG CRACK FROM SETTLING Due to the uneven settling of the Natrona county vocational training schoo! a large crack has developed in the auditorium end of the structure, running from the basement to the cornice. ‘Workmen are busily engaged in un- Gerpinning the slipping side of the school so that proper measures may be taken to insure its safety and stability. ents, $800, (Spectal the cavern, of rock There MARSEILLES ,_ Broadway at 103d St. (Subway Express Station at Door) NEW.YORK CITY Near Riverside Drive’ Central Park, Theatres Jand Shopping Sections _ Singl runnin, Te water $250 © (Single room and bath $3 Double room, bath $5 per day Handsome suites of 2, 3rooms Dinner de Luxe $1.25 served in Blue Room and Grill Exceptional Orchestra M.
