In other words, hay fever is on the rampage, inflicting red, tearful eyes, sensitive, sore noses and wheezing respiration on thousands, “Beaver” and “Zitz” are backed off the map at this time of the year by “Snizzy."" John Bull cocks his hat over one eye and chortles “Beaver” when he catchés a glimpse of King George or a bloody cockney fitted out with whiskers. Over here the wooly faced rag man, or Charles Evans Hughes for that matter, is hailed with “Zitz,” and one's neighbor is the recipient of an accompanying jab in the ribs by way of further impressing the delightful discovery. But ‘Snizzy” has it all over these two sports since it blossoms forth with undiminished vigor each year and does not depend upon a incarnation of the “Smith Brothers” in order to be enjoyed. The proper way to play it is to first await either spring or autumn and’ then to watch and Msten intently for someone td deliver a salvo of sneezcs. As the crucial moment ar- rives the prospective sneezer is to be leaped in front of and ungracl- ously called “Snizzy, Snigzy” until the impending explosion is para lysed. The climax follows immedi- ately and it is up to the aggressive player to run for there is scarcely @ person more hostile than one whosé sneezes are abruptly and in- voluntarly interrupted. The reason “Snizzy’ flourishes n the spring and sutumn—especial ly in the autumn—is_ hecauso sneezes are then as prevalent as a plague. And sneezing at these times of the year is a serious and sad matter for those unable to sup: press it. If you have hay fever you had better determine without delay what the pollen plague ts;handing you | in the sniffer. You are almost cer tain to bear an affinity for one of four groups of pollens, say the scientist: These four comprise the grasses, ragweeds, chenopods and wormwoods. The wormwoods, or artemisias, are the guilty plants in Wyoming —usually and theoretically. But It is possible that one of the other groups of flower dusts is getting in its insidious work occasionally out here. Vaccination with a pollenatc vaccine derived from the noxious weed causing hay fever to the par- tleular individual s commonly prac ticed by the medics and has been found to be effective in stopping the affliction. How to find out’ just which brand of pollen is guilty is a problem that must be experi mentally determined by a series of vace'nations—unless the first one |fied that the said allegations wil ibe taken as confessed, and your said entry will be cancelled without further right to be heard, either be fore this office or on appeal, if you fail to file in this office within twenty days after the fourth publi- cation of this notice, as shown be- ow Your answer, under oath, spe- cifically responding to these allega- tions of contest, together with due proof that you have served a copy of your answer on the said contest- ant either in person or by register- ed _mail.
