The ‘Dutch treat’ dinner party given at the Alpine Gardens last night waa a great success from all standpoints. There were about fifty present, including leading members of PLasper’s soclety., vA eee L. ©, Gootrich Attends Reunion. Celebrating the eighty-stxth birth- ; day of his grandmother and also a family reunion, Leon C. Goodrich left for Wheatland yesterday. There are ebout ‘twenty relatives scheduled to be present at this reunion. They are coming from points as far west as Oregon and as far east as Indiana. eee Girl Reserves Active. Activities of the Girt Reserves this week will include a hfke and two swimming classes, The hike will take place on Wednesday at which time the girls’ will go to the picnic grounds near Garden Creek for a wiener roast. They should ca‘l the Y, W. C. A. rooms before going so that they may obtain further information regarding the outing. The high school girls will go to the | Mills plunge Thursday. There they will be instructed in the art of swim- ming if they are not already profici- ent. The business girls will take a simflar excursion to Mills Friday ev- ening. eee Tee Cream Social. Planned. An ice cream social will be given by the Trinity Lutheran Ladies’ Aid society Thursday evening on the church lawn at South Park and East Fourth streets. A water melon feast has been schedu'ed by the First Christian hurch for 8 o'clock tonight in the jurch parlors. It is to be held for the especial benefit of the young peo plé of the church. . se Benefit Dance Set for Wednesday. A benefit dance and entertainment will be given at the Arkeon Wednes- day, July 25 under the auspices of the Trades and Labor assembly. It will be held for the purpose of rais- ing funds for organizing the miscel- ‘laneonus crafts of Casper. All unions are requested to assist in the move- ment. eee Party Leaves For Park. One of the liveliest parties that has yet left Casper for the park this year , Started yesterday when Ralph Van ‘Sant and his friends and relatives ‘left Casper at 2:30 p. m. Included in ‘the group were Mr. Van Sant and his young spn John Sigmund, Ralph's brother Dr. Leport Van Sant and Mrs, Leport Van Sant, of Peoria, Ill., and Dr. and Mrs. Harsch. Mrs. Harsch being sister gf Mr. Van Sant. Dr, Mercer Dickerson, formerly of Peoria, was the other Casperite who . made up the party Fred Pattee will Yee them at Thermopolis on the re- rn trip and spend two days with them there. The party will stop at Lander, Dubois, Brooks Lake, Moran, then go through the park and stop at all towns on the Yellowstone high- way on the return trip. Personals Mrs. BE. 8S.
