Brooks, in whose honor the camp is named made a brief speech calling attention to the future possibilities im the training of boys and young men of the state for christian jeadership. The following statement of purpose was signed by those present: “We who are gathered on these grounds today, representing the in terest of the boys and young men of our state, do make this statement re- garding the purpose for which Camp Brooks, under, the auspices of the state committee of the Wyoming Young Mens’ Christian association 1s founded. “The camp is dedicated to the building of Ghristian character. We will encourage the use of this equip: nient by all young people's societies the state who desire to hold in the mountains conferences and institutes which have for their purpose not only healthful recreation, . but christian: training.
