f Junior Prom Held Last Evening. Two hundred members of the senior and junior classes of the Na- trona County high school assembled in the gorgeously decorated gym- nasium last night to take part in the annual junior prom. The juniors showed that they .knew how to be real hosts for they had prepared everything possible for the enjoyment of their guests. The top of the wainscoating and the rim of the balcony were decorated with friezes of black and white, while magnificent streamers extended from’ the center of the roof to the railing of the balcony. The lights were shaded with paper of variegated colors und presented a pleasing effect, casting as they did a soft glow over the room. Spies’ Howling Wolves orchestra furnishea the music for the dancers, dancing lasting from 9 o'clock until 12. E. Carter. The subject is Africa. Mrs. Carter has had much experience giving illustrated lecturos an¢ is familiar with Africa. Miss Bertha M. Karman and Roy 1. Mahaffey, both of Cesper, were married last evening, June 1, at the home of the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Miller, 846 Madl- son street, by the Rey. Lewis E. Carter, pastor of the Methodist church. The attendants were Miss Marion Noyes and L. D. Hurley. Mr. Mahaffey is employed in the Midwest barber shop and Mrs, Mahaffey has been employed in the Noyes grocery store in North Casper. A few rela- tives and friends of the bridal couple were present at the wedding. A supper was served after the cere- mony. Girl Scouts in Casper will sell candy and popcorn at the local thea- ters this evening to raise money to finance their trips to the girls’ sum- mer camp on Casper mountain. School girls under 10 years of age, eligible to the camp at the same time the scouts are there, will also assist in' the work, The expenses of each girl attending the camp amounts tc $4. Friday of next week the girls will hold a bake sale, the place of which will be announced later.
