» FRIDAY, JANUARY 19, 1923. Red Cross Formal Holds Spotlight. Interest on the part of the public in the Red Cross Charity Ball, to be given at the Arkeon this evening, in- dicates that the largest crowd of the season will be on hand for the occa- sion. The affair wi!l be strictly formal with dancing from 9:30 to 1 o'clock, and the music will be by Ackerman’s’ orchestra. _ A special program of dance music, including the last few years has been arranged by Mr. Ackerman. There will be.no special decorations as it was felt that this additional ex- pense was not justified by any par- ticular significance of the occasion. All receipts will be turned over to the local chapter of the Red Cross for use jn its charitable work in Casper. T. J. McKeon, manager of the Arkeon, has co-operated with the committee by charging a very nominal rental for the evening and the expenses of the dance will be comparatively small. ar Mrs. Mahoney Entertains. Mrs. Jeremiah Mahoney entertain- ed at an informal bridge luncheon yesterday at her home on South Wol- cott street. Honors for the afternoon were taken by Mrs. Anna Leeper and Mrs. T. F. Algeo. Friday evening, January 26, the members of the Business and Profes- sional Woman's club will stage their minstrel in the Elk's auditorium. Jack Leary who {s in charge of the minstrel as well as those who are to take part are diligently working to make the entertainment a success. A house to house canvas will be made tomorrow by members of the club for the sale of tickets. A rehearsal will be held this evening at 7:30 at the Methodist church. ere Douglas De Molay ‘Will Visit Here. The next meeting of the local chap- ter of De Molay to be held Monday in the Masonic temple will be marked with the presence of members of the la Prele chapter from Douglas. There will also be an installation of offiéers. Folowing the meeting re- freshments will be served. . Opening Reception at Salt Creek Club House. A dance will be held Saturday eve- ning in the club house at Salt Creek for Midwest employes and their friends. Music will be furnished by the Salt Creek band. The meeting was well jattended, all members of the circle be- ing present. Neighbor Leona Bishop acted as installing officer.for the eve- ning, carrying out her work in an impressive manner.
