D. 1922, being respect- ively amendments numbered ‘‘one” and “two,” received from the said Sixteenth State Legislature: Number On Authorizing an increase in the limitation of salary of County Su- perintendent of Schools, County Assessor and County Surveyor. Article XIV, Section 3, Limit of Salaries—Classification of Counties for Amount Of. The salaries of county officers shall be fixed by law within the following limits, to- wit: In couaties ha valuation not exceeding two million ($2,000,000) dollars, the sherirf shall be paid not more than fifteen hundred siollars ($1,500.00) per year; the county clerk shall not be paid more than twelve hundred dol- lars = ($1,200.00) per yea the county and prosecuting attorney shall not be paid more than twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) per year; the county treasurer shalt not be. paid more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year; the county assessor shall not be paid more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year; the county superintendent of schools shall not e paid more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year.
