Captain Dave Wilson, the end who played his first full gamo Jast fall when the Zuppmen pushed Ohio State from top place in theYconference, will be an asset to the Illini squad. His work@luring the spring training was spectacular and forward passes are easy for him. Spectators say he will be ‘a second Carney if Zuppke can perfect a passer who will work with ‘Wilson as well as Lauri Walquist did last eeason. Walquist’s long and short Passes were dart-like and wero com- pleted by Carney with great accur- acy. One of the chief aspirants for the Miot “job is Freddie Majors, Cham- 3. A. Coutchie, star on Burt ‘s freshman varsity team last fall, will be his only other man for this job. “Both can punt, pass and run with exceptional ability. ‘he loss 9% Uttle Joe Sternaman, whose atrong- est point was his speed in returniny the ball and drop kicking, will be felt.
