The assassination of Sir Henry has stirred England to the depths. Mingled with feeling of sorrow and dismay are apprehensions of further outrage. Carey arrived here today to attend the opening of the Yoder rodeo and first annual shotgun roundup, and was schediled to make a fiveminute speech. Yoder,| world’s champion bronci buster, who is in charge of track events, asserts many more will be here tonight to enter the competition for the finals on Sunday. Today's program will consist cf run- ning races, a Roman race, and a se ries of Frontier events such as buck- ing, roping and bull-dogging, these at- tractions having been added, to run three days, instead of only two as orig- inalty planned. The programs for Saturday and Sunday are well filled with relay races, and wild west exhibitions, and nearty $2,000 in purses will be award- ed during the roundup. The Union Pacific wil run spectal trains to Yoder with reduced fares all the way rom North Platte, Neb. on Saturday and Sunday. Many visitors are expected daily via Union Pacific. But, the greater number will come by auto, using the Cheyenne-Torrington state highway.
