Salt Creek, in general, and the Orin Snyder post of the American Legion,| in particular, put in a full day yes-| terday in observance of Memorial Day and in commemoration of the/ dead soldiers of American wars. Early Tuesday morning 40 mem- bers of the Salt Creek post of the} Legion journeyed to Casper to take part in the dedicatory ceremonies of a t at the grave of Orin Sny- whom the Salt Creek post is named and who was the first Salt ier to meet death in the Creek t war. Brwin Froyd presided and the Salt Creek American Legion band ren- dered an appropriately patriotic con- cert before the speaker of the evening, Governor Robert D. Carey, was intro- duced. The governor delivered a par- fitting address, which was received by the 400 or more who were present at the exercises.
