WER 200 ARRESTS MADE DURING MONTH, $1,422 IN FINES COLLECTED HERE The police “clean-up” policy which has been in vogue here ;for the past two months is bringing results, ac cording to the showing made by the monthly police report which has just been completed. During the month 202 arrests were made, fines of over $2,070 assessed and fines amounting to $1,422 collected. ‘The falling off in amount of fines imposed and collected is due to the fact that the present police officials belleve that jail sentences are more conductive to correcting evils that fines would be.
