Jones served three years of his -en tence then escaped. He was recap tured during the world war when his name was found among those regis tering in the selective draft. “The conviction of Jones has been worrying me all these years,” said the acting governor after- posting Jones’ pardon. “I always wAs convinced he was innocent.
