C. Keith, P, J Regan, 525 West Thirteenth street, mado a statement to The Tribune today in which he disclaimed inten tion to assault Dr. Keith and claims that thy only reason that any trouble occurred is that he did not know the man who presented himself at the Regan home professing to be Dr Keith. He maintains that he took the medicinp case from the doctor so that he would have some means of identi fying the man who had gained en- trance to his home. ‘Mr. Regan says that The Tribune's report that Dr. Kelth administered to injuries suffered by Mrs. Regan are incorrect. Neither he nor his wife re- quired the attention of the physician and neither of them, according to Mr. summoned Dr. Keith. ‘The statement 1s the outgrowth of a case in which Mr, Regan was sen- tenced to serve 90 days in the city jafl, upon conviction on charges of areault before Judge Perry A. Moris in police court. Mr.‘ Regan appealedy for hearing in district court and pro- vitied a bond of $1,000 to guarantee his appearance at trial. > — BEAVER SKINS AUCTIONED.
