SANTIAGO, Chile, Dec. 21.—(By ‘The Associated Press}—The Chilear answer to Peru's note rejecting Chile’s proposal for & plebiscite in Tacna and Arica invites the continu ance of dip-—* =csotiations in ar at tempt to find some solution of the dir ficulty under the terms of the treaty ot Ancon, with it says cannot “b« ignored by the countries signing it. “Chile considers adequate any means to find a solution of the differ ences with Peru," says the note. The only unfulfilled clause in th: treaty of Ancon are not due to an action of Chile, according to the not Clause 3, providing for the plobiscit it says, has been impossible of fulfi’ ment for many years, and clause 12 providing compensation for damage sufféred during the war by Chileans as not ten met by Peru.
