At a meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution which was held yesterday afternoon at the home of Mra. E. Richard Shipp a talk wax made by J. C. McGlade on “Mética- tion.” The usual short program, including the reading of the president's address from the D. A. R. magazine.was given, and plans were made for the work to ty establishment. R. Wynne, who came to Casper about two weeks ago, to take charge of the medical department of the Veteran’s bureau, is in the state hospital suffering from malaria fever. He is under the care of Dr. C. N. Geis. Dr. Wynne contracted the disease in the Philippines and suffers from it in- termittently. eee Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Moran are leav- ing for Bakerafield, Cal., to make their home there. Mr. Moran has been con- nected with the bureau of mines here and is being transferred to the Bakers- field office. eee M. G. Pierce, employed by the Mid- west Refining company, was suddenly summoned to San Diego, Cal., last evening, because of the serious illness of his wife in that city. Mrs. Pierce has been ailing for some time and left for Caltfornia last fall in the attempt to recover her health. eee Attorney, and Mrs. Hal P. Curran have returned from Denver where they have been spending the week. They will remain in the city for several days before returning to their home in Car- bon county, @ee O. 'W. Hewlett and Cora Hewlett are leaving this afternoon for St. Louts, Mo., where they will spend some ‘time visiting with friends and relatives. eee Mr. and Mrs. T. 8.
