The College Savings Bond Company PARENTS Additional Provisions Should your child or children on reaching 18 find it necessary to start a business career, the accumulated ' funds -may be used for such purposes. Or should you: as parents absolutely re- quire the fund to reimburse you for the child’s past or future maintenance—or should the child’s health be undermined, and the funds be required for the child’s physical welfare—then there are provi- sions whereby the funds may be used for these emergencies, though under favor- able conditions the contributors prefer that the funds be used for the sole purpose of a higher education for the boy or girl whose name is enrolled. In case of the child’s dangerous illness, |50 per cent of the then value can then be borrowed—and in case of the child’s death, the bonds:may be redeemed at the then value, or left on deposit until time of maturity, when the accumulated fund may be drawn by the parents. The merchants refund to you part of each cash sale, in the form of scrip or Baby Bonds, which when deposited with the College Savings Company, 429 Midwest Building, represent the same as cash in securing $5 College Savings Bonds, certified by’ the National Bank of Commerce as trustee, and invested in first real estate mortgages. This scrip costs you nothing. ‘Ask for the scrip or the Baby Bond when you trade with the merchant. College Bonds work wonders - Your For Instance--- If your child is less than 6 months old, $2.50 in scrip or Baby Bonds, presented to you by these merchants, absolutely free with purchases, secures for you a College Savings Bond worth $5 when the child reaches 18. If your child is 4 years old, which is the first half of his fifth year, you collect from these twelve merchants - scrip or Baby Bonds to the amount of $2.93 for which you will receive a $5 College Savings Bond, due and payable when your child reaches 18.
