MONDAY, JANUARY 24, 1921 Dog Sleds Being Used! to Sad Advantage in| North Part of State. It is a far cry from Wyoming to the frigid zone, yet this state has con-| siderable. territory where the Gog! sleds and snowshoes of the Frozen | North gre tsed to good advantage. his winter has shown some excel- ent records made with dog teams and almost all records were eclipsed last week up. in the Jackson Hole when Lamb mide the trip from his home below the Snake River Canyon to Jackson in six hours. Lamb lives about thirty miles be- low Jackson on the Snake River and made the trip with three dogs, one of which was a green dog that he picked up on the way and hitched up with his team of two. Coming through the canyon was a rather ticklish piece of traveling, but the trip was mude without acefdent and he took back @ load of groceries and mail for the ranchers on the Snake. Last winter C. E. Lemmon of Fish Creek made some remarkable records with a team of four dogs, and Mr. Lemmon hauled 300 pounds of oats from Dubois to his ranch on Fish Creek when the snow was over 4 feet deep on the level. Harve Burling- ham, who {fs at the Lemmon ranch also, made a ski record for fast travel, as he left the Lemmon ranch on skifywhen the snow was deep and was in Jackson, twenty-five miles away, in three hours. He went on this trip for medicine for a little boy who had been taken sick and had to have the medicine to save his life. pan bari o4.) tne Flockmasters’ Chief — Goes to Washington Pee * : to Present Evidence SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 24. —Frank J.
