William Kocher is captain of A Company, while Wes- ton Sproul has that responsibility over the freshmen in Company B. The cadets are to be taught the manual of arms, school of the squad, platoon and company drill, guard duty, signaling and first aid. Raider attempting to crahk ® recalcitrant automobile, Emil Moore gallantly volunteered to perform the work for her. The automobile, {ap- parently resenting the interference, promptly “kicked” him, fractured both bones of his right forearm. Moore being hors de combat, Mrs. Raider re- sumed the job of cranking, whereupon the machine “kicked” her also, frac- turing her right wrist. After its vic- tims had been taken to a hospital the car was subjected to the ministrations of a mechanic and the motor started sweetly with a purr strongly suggest- ive of satisfaction.
