CASPER STANDARD PLANT | SENDS. REPRESENTATIVE TO SAFETY CONFERENGE D. M. Lobdell, director of industrial relations at the Casper plant of the Standard Oil Co. (Ind.), leaves Friday for Milwaukee to attend the National Safety Council to be held in that city September 27 to October 1. Mr. Lobdell, who is also ‘safety di- rector at the local refinery, will have the opportunity of meeting over 5,000 delegates representing every branch of industry, who will assemble at Mii- waukee for the purpose of discussing the best methods for promoting the hazardous occupations. It is interesting to note, that in ad- dition to the regular program of ad- dresses and lectures by 175 speakers of mational reputation, the annual safety show, displaying various safety devices and up-to-date appliances for safeguarding the health and lives of the workers, will alone tover 46,000 square feet of floor space. At the conclusion of the convention Mr. Lobdell, in company with the safety directors of other plants of the Stand. ard Oil Co. (Ind) will meet in Chicaso for the purpose of discussing the va- rious ideas gathered at the convention and their application to the refinery 4n- dustry. GANGS CREEK AND SALT GREEK FIELDS MAY BE CONNECTED BY PIPELINE BASIN, Wyo., Sept. 23—Information received here states that surveyors are in the field locating the route for a pipe ‘line which is to connect the Salt Creek field with the Illinois Pipe Line Company's line from the Grass Creek field ‘to the Greybull refinery. Connec- ‘tion will be made, it is stated, near Chatham. The new line will cross the Big Horn Mountains near Lost Cabin.
