“SATURDAY, JULY 24, 1920, - SUNDANCE TOBE TRIED ON WIFE'S CHARGE Alleged Slayer of Laban Wood, Ex-Service Man, Bound Over on Evidence Furnished by Mrs. Hickey SUNDANCE, Wyo., July 24.—Laban M. Wood's alleged slayer, Frank Hickey, who once was arraigned for preliminary hearing on the charge of murder but released because of lack of evidence, will stand trial for the crime at the next term of the district court, and meanwhile will lie in the Crook county jail here without bail. At a second preliminary hearing, at which Hickey’s wife testified she saw him murder Woods by shooting him twice, he was held for trial. Judge BE. C. Raymond, until recently judge of this judicial district, will represent the state in the prosecution of Hickey, Prosecut- ing Attorney Melvin Nichols having left Wyoming, to reside in Idaho, because of failing health.
