NATIONAL WORKIN BON EXTENSIVE SUPPLY BASE HERE FOR FIELDS| Casper Is Location for “Headquarters of Concern Do- ing Mammoth Business with Oil Companies; Great Improvements Now Under Way Here The National Supply company, which shares with the Oil Well Supply company the distinction of being one of the largest supply companies in the northwest, is going ahead with work here on what is to become iis headquarters for all business transacted over several states on tracts located close to the business section of the city. One| tract has.a frontage of 400. feet on Market street and the industria! trackage; of the two © railroad jines bounding, it on the west end and’ the other tract consists of two plats located on each side of the track and just east of the new storage warehousés and yards built by the Midwest. In the south part of the National’ tract, near the business district, three-story office building and store reom will be erected while on the north side of the same plat, the foundation is now going in for a steg] and concrete warehouse of large c: ¥. The office building will have a storage room for smaljl parts and light material on the ground floor and at the street level. The | main entrance to the building opens into the store itself where the regular stock of a well-equipped supply store will be found. Above’ the store,’ the upper floor will be given oyer entirely to the official headquarters for the Na- tional’s officials for the Northwest ter- ritory. The other tracts near the pres- ent warehouses of the Midwest will be used for pipe and tubular goods only and no building will be placed there at present, Both the warehouses and the office building will have unjoading platforms | on the industrial spur track that will be on a level with the floor af a car an dihe plans call for numerous labor sdving devices in connection with the loading and unloading of material that will bring about considerable sa™ x of both time and expense in the handling of goods. In the warehouse, two crane- ways will handle all heavy material, | such as éngines, cables and the Jike, from the doors opening on the loading platform to the storage bays. These heavy objects will be lifted from the by a ationary boom crane mount- on the lonadi tform in such a way that it will » both doors that open on the. craneways inside the pbuild- ing.
