The estimated production of the North Louisiana fields for the week ending March 1, was 116,910 barrels, which is a new high record. Of this amount 81,630 barrels was furnished by the Homer pool of Claiborne parish, which. was greater than that credited to Burk: burnett for the same week. Thus, the pool of the United States. A new well has been found in Bossier parish, at a wildcat test, which is “producing light gravity oil in paying quantities. This location is about nine miles northeast of Shreveport and evidently opens a new field. A large blow-out was also re- ported a wildcat in De Soto parish near son, La., |The completions for the week in the Bull Bayou district were unimportant. North Central Texas reported ordinary producers and dry holes in the defined fields. A number of failures ‘Were 're- ported in the Desdemona pool. The best news of the week was from Stephens county where the Montreal Oil company’s No. 1 Harris reported previ- ously at 4,000 barrels, increased its out- put to about 8,000 barrels. The loca- tion is surrounded by dry holes and small pumpers. The shallow fields of Eastland county are increasing in value, and their area is being extended each week. The Vestal well in Callahan coun- ty is making occasional flows, but its value is still undetermined. A pipe line is being laid to it by the Prairie Oil and Gas company.
