That the first unit of the 5,000-barrel refinery which is to be built here by the Midwest company to handie tiip product of the Rock Creek field will be in operation about June 15, is a statement of an official connected with the construction work. The refinery will not be com. pleted until long after the date men- tioned, but actual refining will begin at that time, according to present plans, It is not anticipated that by that date the pipe’line from the field to the re: finery will be completed, but the earlier production will be handled in tank cars, Th Illinois Pipe Line company will be- gin laying the line as soon as frost is out of the ground. Meanwhile several storage tanks will have been completed and the crude hauled in tank cars wil] be collected in these. Material for the secondary refinery, which the Standard Oil company is to build here, to handle crude from which gasoline has been ex- tracted by the Midwest ‘plant, is begin- ning to arrive qn the ground ———————_—_ MARKET GOSSIP AND FIELO NEWS Producers & Refiners Complete Well in Beggs Field Good for 300 Barrels Producers and Refiners No. 1 well on the Isperhecker lease, Beggs field, Oklahoma, came in on Monday ‘for 300 barreis, with the drill only a few feet in the sand, according to a telegram received at the company's Denver office. It is expected that this production will be Jargely increased when the well is completed. The oil was found at 2,300 fect. The Isperhecker lease is in a_here- tofore undeveloped portion of the Beggs. district. ‘The well logs with the wells in the Dicey McIntosh leave, and its drillers believe that the well means the discovery of a new and rich Beggs oil Producers and Refiners own the lease in ‘ts entirety.
