Martin will outweigh Rector nearly 20 ovals but the latter has agreed to take on the big boy on Jan- uary 22 in the Iris theater. icLeod had planned to match Rector with Mar- tin after he had battled with Koplin but his injury made it necessary to hav: Martin is from Cripple Creek, Colo.,| and has been training under the tutel-; age of Morgan Williams, contender for the heavyweight championship. He will arrive in Casper Monday or Tuesday. | Reports from Colorado show that. this} big fighter has been in several battles | recently and has made a good show-| ing. | After last night's workout at the/| Casper Atheltic club, McLeod said that} Rector was in really better shape right now than when he met Harvey Per- kins. And the Casper boy has several} days of work yet ahead of him. | Nine rounds of boxing with three! different sparring partners was the} program for Rector last night in the| Casper Athletic club. An equal amount of work with the punching bag and sand bag coupled with light stomach and chest exercises completed the evening's | work. One 180-pounder was used to develop Rector’s endurance while a light and fast sparring partner was used to de- velop his speed.
