TUESDAY, DEC. 30, 1 30, 1919, Filk’s Annual Ball Is Brilliant Event The most gorgeous social ‘event ever witnessed in Casper the seconc nual ball given by the Elks last night which far surpassed the ball of year. The Masonic temple was tr form ey, by wall hanyings in panel ef- ct of purple and white surrounded by American flags and eagles . Huge palloon globes covering the lights, each de in a different shape and design, uve a weird and original lighting The -chestra platform was placed in one rner of the room and Shembeck's hestra furnished the music. Over 200 couples were given the ap- propriately designed programs having the 16 dances, two extras and the dinner menu printed. By shortening the en cores it Was possible to have ail of the program dances before going to Henning hotel for the banquet. 8 entertaining numbers were sung shimmied’’ by Miss Doris Maier, tertainer from Denver. Ry request of the orchéstra annouw er, after the sixteenth dance the guests followed the music to the Henning hotel where the banquet was served under the management of A. K. Bott. In the dining halls and grill rooms of the hotel the tables were placed in shape for the Elk guest The decorations were of carnation sus, noise makers and vari-colored and shaped balloons. The menu of. the ban- quet consisted of ripe, green and stuffed olives, celery sticks, individual chicken salads, assorted sandwiches, rolls, frozen pudding and assorted cake, coffee, mints, cigars and cigarets.
