The “pro” grid season this year was the most successful in the histor v of the game and next season it prom: ises to thrive to a sttil greater extent. Football is a college games. Of course professional clubs and organ- ivations thruout the country cannot b« denied the privilege of participating in the pastime, but we can sée where the professional game will soon be- gin to tell on the intercollegiate status of college players. There are hundreds of men play Ing on the leading college teams each season who are not overburdened with wealth. An alluring offer to “jump” college and finish the season in profes sional spangles will prove mighty tempting to some young stars, There is no Way to prevent profes sional teams from luring away college players. It is not kidnaping. It is perfectly legitimate.
