PLN ; SATISFACTORY | Illinois Company Has Trouble 1 Lost Soldier-Fort Steele Line. The Mlinois Pipe Line Co., is having troyble with the line from the Lost Soldier to Fort Steele. This line is proving rather small foi the oil it must} carry and during the cold Weather as the oil congeals and clogs the line so that the pumps cannot move it against the heavy pressur If more pressure is applied the fittings on the line will give way. Added to the trouble of making the oil flow thru the lines in cold weather, the Mlinois and other pipe line com panies in Wyoming are encountering considerable trouble hecause of a cent edict sent out of Washington b: some officials who evidently could put to some better use than trying to regulate the pipe’ lines of the wester stat This ruling requires that load ing racks at all points where oil is de livered to the tank cars must receive their oil from a storage or line whose line of gravity must be lower than the! point of delivery In other words, the ruling states that all deliveries’ from either a storage tap or the end of a pipe line must be raised to the level of the tank car me Outside power other than grav! This means that nearly road delivery stations in W) be abandoned or heavy of money made to reset storage and} pipe line ends. At Lusk, for instance. the Iinois tanks are situated on a Jow butte about a haif mile from the rail d. tracks and the fall from the stor permits the tank cars on the switch be filled, without the use of an additional pump and power. This condition is to be foynd in p every field all over the country espécially is it true in Kentucky where the railroads follow the valleys for the most part and the oil fields are on the high. ground. Now, according to the new ruling, the Hlinois Pipe Line Co. at Lusk mu: abandon its tank farm there and move the; storage to a point below the level of the rallroad tracks, where imminent danger of floods must ve. encountered. Then, after making this move the firm faust-install a power plant, in itself ® grave danger because of the fire! especially all the rail oming must expenditures Furnished Daily by Te Local Oil Stocks |amatg mated Royalty -.
