The amount of improvement pro- posed is the construction of all side- walks, not already laid and construc‘- ed, which shall be constructed of ce- ment concrete, five (5) feet in width, and. properly graded, in ac- cordance with the Ordinances of the City of Casper heretofore passed and adopted, and to which reference is hereby made. The estimated number of feet of sidewalk construction is 137,000 square feet. The estimated excava- tion is 4,000 cubic yards. All bids for said work shall be marked “Sidewalk Proposals” and be addressed to and filed with the his office in the City of Casper, at his offie in the City of Casper, Wy- oming, and will be received until eight o’clock, P. M. on the 6th day of October, 1919, at which time bids will be opened at the regular ad- journed meeting of said Council. A certified check in the sum of ten (10) per cent of the amount of the bid must be filed with each bid, to be forfeited to the City of Casper as liquidated damages if the bidder be awarded the contract and fails to enter into a contract for such im- provement with the City within five days from his notification, if he be the successful bidder, to perform the work and to furnish a bond guaran- tecing the faithful performance of the work. Such bond to be furnish- ed at the time of the signing of the contract.
