This well is in the northeastern end of the field and is said to be in an entirely new structure. The oppo-} site end of the field is extremely shellow, oil having been found in| this region at 900 feet. The oil in the General Petroleum well is being) used to supply oil for the field. Tne well is on the pump. On section 31, the same company has just reached the oil sand and the hole is reported full of oil. The well has not been drilled in as yet. The same is the c on section 3 where the oil sand has béen touched. With the finding of oil, the opera- tions have stopped temporarily. Other companies report favorable production in the Lest Soldier field. The Bair Oil company has struck a new sand at 1,200, their new well producing more than 600 barrels daily, according to reports. The op- erators expected to go to a depth of 3,000 feet to get oil in this hole. In the Lost Soldier region proper which is the northwestern end of the field, oil was found at 900 feet. Here the production is even greater than Yn the newly discovered part of the field. CASPER RANGER NO. 2 FUL OF OL, REPORT The Casper Ranger well No. 2 in the Caddo field near Ranger, Texas, is reported as now drilling in black lime and with the hole full of oil. George Roads is in charge of drilling the well. George Stilphen of Casper is vice president of this company.
