That dear old institution, old, hut ever new, the circus Carl Hag- enbeck-Wallace comes to Casper to- morrow (Saturday) with a real show, the circus of our father’s days, of our boyhood and the meadow lot, the cireus with the red wagons and an army of clowns, the elephants, the women dressed in fluffy pink tarle- tons a-glitter with spangles, will be here and, most essentially of all, the rumbling wagons of red and gold without which a circus wouldn't be a circus at all. Most anywhere be- tween 2 and 4 a. m. is the time. Many European Features The Carl Hagenbeck-Wallace cir- cus of 1919 is a circus of novelties, thrills and a whole show of pretty women. Skill and beauty are appre- ciated more than daring nonsense. The big show is peculiarly fortunate this year in the number of European and other foreign noveltiés. Agents abroad were able to secure features never before seen in America, on ac- count of the war, Likewise the Carl Hagenbeck zoo was brot intact to this country and placed with the com- bined shows. Volumes could be writ- ten of the hardships and dangers ex- perienced in getting the rare and cost- ly Hagenbeck animals from the war zane. The Carl Hagenbeck-Wallace cir- ens is assessed at $3,000,000. The parade alone represents a cash out- lay of a million dollars and the Carl Hagenbeck- wild animals are valued at $480,000. The American offices are maintained in Cincinnati, Chica go and New York City. The win quarters are located at West Baden, Ind. In London, Liverpool, Caleut- ta and Hongkong agencies are main- tained to secure novelties and fea- tures for the greatest circus. of the United States. ‘?
