Ten years ago there was only one refinery in Wyoming. Today there are eleven in operatio two more are being built, and others are sched- uled to be started before the end of the year. The eleven now run- ning represent an approximate i vestment of $34,230,000, handle 118,500 barrels of daily. To the person who has not been able to keep in close touch with the Wyoming oil situation during the crude past few years it is hard to realize that, where there was once little but grazing land—and not especial- ly good grazing land at that—there are now dotting the landscape es- tablishments eating up better tha 100,000 barrels of golden liquid day. Yet such are the facts. No only that, but the refineri in op- eration are unable to take care of all of the oil being produced in Wyoming at the present time.
