1919 ORGANIZED EFFOR TIVENILE. PLAYGROUNDS. PLANNED T 15 PUT FORTH A program which has for one of its main objects organized play’ ith Casper thru the taititenative of children’s playgrounds serving the several residencé districts was launched Suntay by Protestant min- isters of the city who formed an or- ganization to be known as the Cas- per Ministers’ association. The or- ganization will -promote wider co- operation in mattérs pertaining to civic and moral betterment and will seek to encourage the several phases of activities that have met with suc- cess in other cities. The playground movement when backed by organized effort has accomplished wonders in the proper development of play spirit among children by directing it into the proper channels. A committee composed of Messrs. Moorman, Goe¢kél and Edwards was appointed on playgrounds, which is considered a crying need here, and the organization hopes to foster plans which will develop in establishing rounds in the near future. “The election of association officers resulted in the Rev. W. L. French, | pastor of the Methodist church, be- ing elected president; the Rev. Walter H. Bradley, Presbyterian minister, new entry into the ranks.
