__FRD. LANDER FARMERS ARE BENIND BOND ISSUE 10 BE VOTED ON APRIL 22 LANDER, Wyo., April 18.—On every hand evidences are accumulat- ing as to the popularity of the pro- posed bond issue for the purpose of building up a road system for Wyo- ming in conjunction with the federal government’s. plan. to contribute a sum equal to that voted by the vari- ous states. | When the matter was first pro- posed, ranchmen and farmers living away from the main highways ex- pressed some doubt as to the bene- fits they might gain directly and a few were disposed to appose the plan. : Milford Grange, the strongest in the county, considered the matter at a recent meeting and after a full dis-} cussion took a vote upon the matter, of endorsing the bond issue which re-! sulted almost unanimously in favor | of the bonds, but one dissenting vote being cast. While it has been understood that} some of the farmers of the state were opposed to the bond issue on the grounds that it would tend to in- crease their taxes, when the matter of raising money with which to re- deem the bonds through a _ direct taxation of the automobiles of the state is explained the opposition and objection is generally lifted. a goes } Manufacturing Company.
