Kendall Bible Class Entertains The Kendall Men’s Bible CInss 1 the Methodist church entertained the Women’s Bible class, and other friends last night in the social rooms at the church. The tables, prettily decorated with flowers, were sur. rounded with about 75 guests. The wives of the members of the men’s class served. The refreshments were oyster soup, apple pie and coffee. Rev. Walter L. French acted as tonstmaster. Miss Jessie Andersor, played a piano solo. Mrs. O. A. Gray beal read, and Mr. Cook sang. Short talks were made by Mrs. Goulding. teacher of the women’s class, Mr. S. E. Bailey, teacher of the men’s class, Mr. H. B. Durham, superintendent 01 the school. Impromptu speeches were made by Professor Wygant. and Mrs. W. L. French, who are teachers! of other classes in the school. A few questions brought out th. fact that of the seventy-five present thirty-five were born east of the Mississippi river, thirty-eight west of the river, and four outside of the United States. Sixteen of those pres- ent were natives of Iowa, and only one was a native of Wyoming. These two classes are strong, live factors in. the Methodist Sunday school. * « Methodist Ladies’ Aid Perfects New Organization. Mrs. L. :L. Gantz entertained the ladies of her circle of the Ladies* Aid society of the Methodist church Monday at her home on South Dur- bin street. An organization was perfected by the election of Mrs. Gantz, president; Mrs, M. A. Wright, vice president; Mrs. Harry Parsons, secretary; Mrs S. E. Bailey, treasurer and Mrs. H. B. Durham, reporter. This group of ladies will call them selves the “K. C's’ and is one of seven groups to meet this week in different parts of the city.
