It is their fair, to be worked out by them for the best interests of the state at large, and, so far as making a suc- cess of it is concerned, it is up to them to make it as big an institution as possible. Wyo., March 11.— in the Jackson Hole region in Wyoming are wintering in fine shape, according to forest rang- ers reporting to state officials here, and the winter loss will be very slight. Mild weather and lack of deep snow has enabled the big herd to find feed and has necessitated feeding during but two storms of short duration. The heavy kill of last fall, estimated to far exceed that of any previous year, has decreased the herd some- what, but the present mild winter insuring a big calf crop next spring will show an increase in the total number of the herd. Thirty-five thousand alien women tre included in the population of New York City.
