Xt LAND DISPUTES Adjustments Sought Among Lance Creek Operators to Meet Claims of Withdrawal At a meeting to be held in Denver next week at which the larger opera- tors will have officiils in attendance, the proving up of the Lance Creek field will be determined thru the ad- justment of conflicting titles on lands held by those interests and it is bi lieved that a united front will be established to meet the claims of the government under the withdrawal. The Ohio company is drilling part of the acreage of the Western States company and the latter concern also is drilling three wells on its own ac count in what might be regarded as proven area. These wells are expect-| ed to be completed within the next thirty days unless the weather should continue cold. The Midwest Refin. ing’ company is preparing to drill the acreage of the Cactus company, in which it hi half interest, and mean- | time the Glenrock Oil company, Which has a well down 2,600 feet, is pro- ceeding as rapidly as posible in view of the severe weather conditions. CONTRACTS LET Wind River Program Assures Lively Development in Fre- mont County Fields Prospects of lively development ir the Lander and Fremont county fields are held out in the announce- ment that the Wind River Petroleun, fompany has contracted 16 new wells fo be drilled in the Lander field in nddition to the development of the tompany’s holding at Lusk. With sixteen new wells in the Lander ficld in addition to what is now pumping and drilling, will make this a splendid producing company, inasmuch as all wells to be drilled are in proven ter- ritory and cannot help but be good. It is rumored that the United States government O. The Wykota Oil company has a long-line contract with the Wind River Refinery Co., for its oil in Lander field, which makes exten: levelopment work profitable both for the Wykota company as well as the Wind River Refining company.
