PEACE TO SPEED UP PRODUCTION Consumption of Oils and Gas also} to Show Increase, Say Pro- ducers of Southwest [By Axsociated Prensa] DALLAS, Tex, Dec. producers of the Southwest predict that peace will bring increased pro- duction and increased consumption of fuel oil, lubricating oil, and gas- oline. They declare that to meet specifi- cations for high grade fuel oil for admiralty purposes it was necessary to refine much crude oil under was:e- ful conditions, which will not obtain in the future. Increased consumption, producers say, replenishing their stocks, from more general use of motor cars in Euro- pean countries that have been at war, and from the use in Great Britain, France and Italy of thousands of mo- tor lorries, now in the war zone, as auxiliary systems of overworked rail- ways. But this increased demand will be more than offset by increased produc tion, officers of the large Texas com- panies declare. Production in the North Texas field now is 62,000 bar- , the Gulf field is producing barrels, the Kansas fields 99,000 barrels, outside of Gushing and Healton, 142,- 000, the Cushing, 44,500 and the Healton, 42,500. The Texas figures show an increase over figures for the Muarter ending September 30, whith gave the total production as 9,244,- 814 barrels, valued af $18,001,249. This was an increase of more than . million barrels over the June quar- ter and two million over the March quarter. Experts here say the Mexi alone have a potential production of 1,000,000 barrels a day. Producers predict that with the ex- tension of the oil fields, oil station- will be established at ports thruout the world and permit of further adop- tion by ships of oil burning power systems, -FREMONT SOLON WILL BE CANDIDATE FOR SPEAKER Perry W. Amott Suffered for Thirty Years “Nothing On Earth Like Tanlac,” He Says—Troubles Overcome neighbor of mine put me onto this Tanlac a few weeks ago, and it’s the finést thing I have ever run across in the sixty-seven y of my life,” declare d Thomas nott, of 124 South St., Spokane, while in Murgittroyd’s Date Store re- cently. “TI have suffered for thirty years,” he continued, ‘with a bad stomach and other troubles and spent a large! part of what I made for treatments and medicines, but never did get any better until I began taking Tanlac. Everything I would eat hurt me and the gas on my stomach would rise up into my chest and cut my breath short Sometimes my heart would beat so hard and fast that I would just have to gasp for breath. 1 was uneasy all the time for fear I had heart trouble. I would have blind, dizzy spells when J could hardly stand on my feet. I also suffered with headaches and sim- ply felt played out nearly time “I car now eat what { want with- urting me for the first time years, and since my food di- and the gas has stopped form- ing on my stomach I don't have any more trouble with palpitation and shortness of breath. Why, before I took nlac the least exercise Would completely tire me out, but now I can feel none the worse from it. I gu I have taken a batrel of medi- eines of different kinds and lived on a diet, almost straving myself, try- ‘ing to get rid of my trouble, but I suffered st the same until I got Tanlac I know what Tanlac has done for me and I appreciate it Pnough to tell everybody about it. In my opinion there’s nothing on earth fike it.” Tanlac is sold in Casper by the Cas- ‘Ser Pharmacy and in Alcova by the Alcova Mercantile Cu.—Adv. 27.—Big oil will result from neutral markets | the Oklahoma fields, | an fields | all the, LANCE GREEK 1S. SPEEDING WORK |Glenrock Around 2,500 Feet With) Well if East End While Ohio Improves Field Work in the Lance field north of Lusk is again on the move. Christmas the whole field was shut down, even the drilling wells stopping their work for the time being. The Glenrock Oil company on the east of the field is drilling again and the ten-inch casing is set and holding well The well had_ ‘considerable trouble with the casing in this well | getting it tight but now that the trou- ble is done away with the workers ex- pect to make good speed in getting the hole down The Glenrock is now about feet and will still have conside | drilling to do before reaching the pay. | The Ohio Oil company has com- jpleted the water line from Lance | creek to all its leases in the field and | this line also supplies the water for the camps of the firm. The line }starts on Lance creek near the big | eas well on section 4 and runs north- | east to the gushtr well and the camp lof the Illinois Pipeline company on 36. It then passes on to the 33 camp and even beyond the well on to other holdings of the Ohio. This undertaking to secure a pure and copious water supply has been vne of the greatest minor improve ments the Lance field has accomplish ed, the need of good water tn the field was strong both for the camps and the boilers of the drilling wells. When using the water from the lakes jand reservoirs in the field, the oper- ators found that their boilers would |galt up every week necessitating ex tensive cleaning and repai before being put on the job again. The water lying in the Lance field reservoirs appears to clog up the boilers and lines with mineral salts worse than any other district in the ate and the new line of the Ohio prove a boon to the oil men v7ho are able to reach the line with radials and use the water for their wells {The wnter from Lance creek is free from alkali and therefore does not injure the boilers in the least.
