Mr. Kennedy feels that no kind of political speech-making should interfere wthe Liberty Loan campaign, and if candidates are called upon at any time to make addresses it will be on the one sub- ject of great importance to the peo- ple today—the subject of raising funds to help bring our boys back home, thru ending the war as soon as possible, It is noteworthy at this time that the Democrats are losing no time in carrying Democratic thruout the state in a chain of politi- cal meetings scheduled for dates thru the campaign which have been annaunced. John E. Osborne, can- didate for United States senator, pro- poses to inflict himself on the Casper patriots early in October. To Republican State Chairmen, | met in Cheyenne on Saturday of last! week and were in conference with Chairman Kennedy and Secretary! The Fourth Liberty Loan is our next objective. There is no geography, political or physical, in the patriots of this county. Democrats and Republi- cans alike love their flag and are ready to die for it. We continu- ally insist for all parties that the war be kept out of partisan politics and that partisanship be kept out of the war. Just as in congress the Republi- cans led the fight that made po: ble the passage of the great war measures, so now the party mem- bership and organization has an immediate, definite war task in the accomplishment of which it can fully function. I repeat, let there be no contest in this country as to anything that touches the war except the contest—who best can serve, who most can give. The success of the Fourth Lib- erty Loan ‘shall be the Republican party’s supreme motif of thot and action until the objective is ob- tained. Whenever Republicans are to- | gether, by two or two thousand, it shall bea win the war meeting. Just as the Republican party’s every action at all time has ben and shall be determined solely by how we can contribute most to the war’s success, so now our every thot and action shall be determined entirely by how we can make cer- tain and quick over-subscription of the Fourth Liberty Loan. This is a united country’s next message to Germany. t The entire Republican organiza- tion in every voting precinct in this country shall be a fighting force in this Liberty Loan drive. This is the Republican organiza tion’s business. This is the real business of every man, woman and child in America. Everything else is chores. ©- BURLINGTON TO AID PURCHASE LIBERTY BONDS The Burlington reilroad will again assist its employes during the coming Liberty Loan drive. The railroad has never been backward in anything pertaining to Nation’s welfare and its policy will help employes greatly to do their share. In the former loan the railroad took over the buying of the Liberty Bonds by taking all the individual subscriptions and guaranteeing the payment to the government. The railroad then took a tenth of each employe’s salary to pay for the bonds he had subscribed for. The same course will be followed this time only the amount taken out will be one eighth instead of on tenth.
